Well, if you are a MovieGeek like me, you know that, at last, our Ramadan is here! Our holy month - Oscar season is finally, at long last, upon us!

Best Picture

  • Atonement
  • Juno
  • Michael Clayton
  • No Country for Old Men
  • There Will Be Blood

I really hope that Ellen Page wins for Juno! I love her. I am excited to see so many nominations for Juno, but not so much about the equally large number of Michael Clayton nods… I thought that movie was…eh.

Saoirse Ronan was awesome in Atonement as well I would be happy if she won for Supporting Actress (but I would bet that Cate Blanchett wins). I think Daniel Day-Lewis will win for Best Actor and Javier Bardem for Best Supporting Actor.

It would make me VERY happy if Juno won for Best Picture, but I bet that Atonement (good) or Michael Clayton (not so good) will take that honor.

Well…. Only time will tell.

Happy Oscar Season, everyone!
