Welcome to ColdLeftovers. My name is David Lay and this is my outlet. There is a little something for everyone here: From Movies to Music to Sports, etc. I’m still trying to find my blogging niche, so for now I’m just throwing it all out there – a little of this and little of that! Boo-yah!

So, I am David Lay (I already said that, I know) but you can call me DLay, if you like. I am originally from Amory, Mississippi and I currently reside in Provo, Utah where I work as a Copywriter for an Online Marketing company. I have also lived in Starkville, Mississippi and Albuquerque, New Mexico. I went to school at Mississippi State University and I have bled Maroon from birth.

I love movies, and I discuss them often. Nothing gets me going like a good film. I have a wide spectrum of favorites - some of which are Taxi Driver, The Godfather, Best in Show, and City Lights. Who’d a thunk it? Currently, one of my life goals is to see every Academy Award nominated film from my lifetime.

Music is another passion of mine. From Bob Marley to James Taylor and Uncle Tupelo to Dave Matthews Band – I love music by all talented artists. I believe music is art and there may be nothing sweeter than music created by talented artists. But, as we all know, sometimes music is just FUN. I will try to keep you up to date on all the Utah Concerts and other happenings around the area.

I also love sports, particularly Major League Baseball and SEC college sports. I love the 2004/2007 World Series champion Boston Red Sox as well as the Bulldogs of Mississippi State University.
